It’s that time of month again – can it really be that time of month again? – for us to take you “behind the curtain” of Letter Me Loved and share what we’re up to this *almost* spring. This “Currently” link up post is brought to you by Jenna of Gold & Bloom and Anne of In Residence. Thank you ladies for hosting each month! Before we start, though, have you checked out the Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing print and desktop wallpapers for this month? We’ll wait while you do!
Sarah: I am wishing for blue skies and 70 degree temperatures! This weekend the weather was beautiful and the taste of spring made me anxious for sundresses and open-toed shoes. Only nineteen days until spring friends! Iced coffee all around!
Jenny: That it was the weekend! I love my day job, but I have such great plans for most weekends this spring. This particular weekend the in-laws are coming to hang out with us. I’m not sure what we’re going to do yet, but we always have fun!
Sarah: Grapefruit! A few weekends ago, grapefruit was on sale at Whole Foods and I have been eating half a grapefruit everyday since! I welcome the different healthy option for lunches or breakfast. They are so yummy and since it takes patience to eat with a spoon, I feel like I have eaten more then I have. Plus, the color of grapefruit screams spring!
Jenny: More days like Monday. Through a series of strange events, I had Monday off and it was a beautiful day of relaxation with just enough productivity. It didn’t hurt that the weather was sunny with the high of 70!
Sarah: Matt and I are headed to St. Louis this weekend to spend time with family and I couldn’t be more excited. This trip was unplanned until Sunday afternoon, which is not like us at all. I am looking forward to a relaxed weekend full of family because, man, do I miss them. Having Friday off work may be adding to my excitement!
Jenny: In exactly two weeks, Daniel and I will be going to Breckenridge, Colorado for a ski vacation with his brother and sister-in-law. It will be my first time skiing, and I’m so very excited. Not only will it be great to spend time with our families, but it will be a nice little Spring Break for our family.
Sarah: In-between season clothes. Its that transition time where I am tired of boots and have begun pulling out a few open-toed shoes. Also, I tried to wear my favorite sweaters one last time this past week hoping to pack them away soon. I probably have my hopes up, but just looking at the cute spring clothes at Loft, Old Navy and Anthropologie make me want to buy all the spring things!
Jenny: Last week in the mail both my mom and my mother-in-law sent me shirts to wear. The one from my mom was a turquoise and gray sweatshirt with my monogram on it. The one from my mother-in-law was a The Walking Dead t-shirt. I love them both so much! That alone probably says so much about my personality.
Sarah: That obedience is difficult sometimes. In a sermon I listened to recently, the pastor stated we can easily be in line with God’s will and what Scripture lays out when it is in line with what we already would have chosen. But when the Lord calls us to do something outside of our comfortable plans it is difficult to be as confident and sure. In those moments I tend to question Him and say are you sure that is what you want…. are you sure that is what is in your Word. (Sound familiar? Eve and the serpent?) He is good and faithful, His Word is the lamp unto my feet, and obedience is worth it.
Jenny: I plan on doing a lot of learning this month (which is how I always hope to live my life)…. I plan on learning to ski, use my camera better, do some new watercolor techniques and read a lot of books on some topics close to heart.
Your turn! Tell us what you’re wishing, craving, going, wearing and learning this month (or share your link to the post in the comments below).
